Lamborghini has a tradition of naming their car models after famous fighting bulls. The Reventon is no different; named after a bull famed for killing famous bullfighter Felix Guzman in 1943. The word is Spanish lingo for a large party or a night out on the town, derived from its dictionary definition of "explosion" or "burst." Aptly named, the Lamborghini namesake was released as one of the world's fastest, most exclusive, and powerful cars. The first line of Reventons was limited to only 20 individually numbered vehicles, with an additional 0/20 model created for the Lamborghini museum. Inspired by the speed and performance of jet fighter planes, the Reventon was pitted in a race against a Panavia Tornado jet fighter plane in a 3 kilometer race. Although the Tornado won out in the end, the Reventon led for most of the race, going up to speeds of 340km/h.
Needless to say, the Reventon is a pretty awesome piece of human engineering. We've tried to squeeze as much of it into the scale RC model you see before you today, although we're sure you'll forgive us if our RC can't exactly beat out a fighter jet any time soon. Still, we're still proud of what we have attained - an officially sponsored Lamborghini model, available for any RC or car model lover, at a fraction of Lamborghini's $1.5 million dollar price tag. The RC Reventon has all of the curves and angles of the real thing, and is available now in a clean and cool gunmetal-grey coat. Realistic ventilation grills and Lamborghini logos complete this sweet package, which sits atop detailed black rims covered in synthetic rubber tires. The entire model is embossed with details, such as a stock body kit, tinted windows, and miniature gas-cap, making it one of the best looking RCs we have in stock. The radio transmitter has even been designed to simulate the dashboard of a Reventon, and incorporates simulated air-conditioning ducts and speedometer. While this RC may not be as exclusive and posh as its larger, more expensive counterpart, we're sure it'll blow away any other RC car in its class!
