As a model, I give this a thumbs up! Affordable price and easy to assemble out of the box. My only complaint is that it's not the best RC boat and doesn't go too fast. To be fair, this is definitely not a boat you want going too fast though! I guess you can't have your cake and eat it too...

Pirates seem to be in vogue now with younger kids (I blame Disney and Pirates of the Caribbean) so this makes the perfect gift for both kids and young people. I got one for both my younger son (in middle school) and for my older boy (in college) they both loved it! Admittedly, my college student wanted the boat for a party (go figure) but he still liked playing with it after. Recommended. Also a great price!
